You might be wondering a bit about me! I run a YouTube Channel called Lou Can Cook. I've always loved sharing my passion for cooking, from teaching coworkers how to make spring rolls and dumplings during lunch breaks to hosting virtual classes nationwide during the pandemic. It's a true joy to bring this experience to the Unity Church’s "Fun with Friends" program.
Join us at the upcoming Fun With Friends events in 2025:
In class, you'll have the exciting opportunity to roll your own spring rolls and then immediately enjoy what you've made! I'll provide all the necessary ingredients, condiments, and serving ware. Our main ingredients will be: shrimp, lettuce, mint leaves, carrots, cilantro, mung bean sprouts, fish sauce (may contain shrimp), peanut butter, hoisin sauce (may contain wheat), hot pepper, and rice papers. It's very important to let me know if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, especially if you're vegan. For a vegan choice, I'll have a special vegetarian pineapple fish sauce to replace the real fish sauce.

After dim sum at Ocean Palace, we walked towards Hong Kong Food Market and stop by a few dessert places along the way.

For those of you fans out there wondering if I am real. This is your opportunity to meet me in person. I hosted the Tea Talk with Lou Can Cook at FiLLi Cafe on Hillcroft near Westpark. To attend in-person part of the event, you have to register to bid a seat. Starting bid is $10 and the top 10 bidders get to attend in person. The proceeds go to Unity of Houston. Yes. It's a church fundraising idea.
For those of you rather see me on Facebook Live, it's no charge. But you won't be able to join us for the FiLLi Cafe's Signature drink.
